Nordic’s SCADA system is an open, standards-based system. This enables collection and monitoring of data from any connected device including turbine, balance of plant, met mast or utility meter. It is also flexible enough to fit any project or group of projects. Nordic’s SCADA system is fully scalable to fit single wind turbines to large wind farms and can easily scale up as turbines and/or wind farm sites are added.

Nordic’s secure SCADA web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) makes it easy to access data at the turbine site, or from any internet connection around the world. The GUI is easily navigable and displays all real-time data as well as historical records to authorized users. It also gives the ability to send basic commands to the turbine controller.

To maximize the efficiency and performance of wind turbines and/or windfarms, Nordic’s SCADA system uses a remote notification system for faults, events and other status updates. Notification can be sent to the authorized user via the web, email, or text SMS. This will help increase production and productivity.

Analysis of wind turbine and/or windfarm performance over time is an important part of effective asset management. Nordic’s SCADA will provide monthly reports on availability, power curve, and total production. In addition, a wide range of custom reports can be tailored to customer needs. Custom reports can be a diagnostic tool to help preempt, identify and mitigate problems. Reports can also be used to evaluate and optimize system performance.
