Executive Team

Steve Taber, CEO

Mr. Taber is a veteran of the wind industry and brings substantial wind project development experience to Nordic. Mr. Taber’s past activities include successful projects in Greece, Turkey, Mexico, and the US. Mr. Taber serves as Chairman of the Princeton Energy Group, a California-based developer of renewable energy projects throughout the world. Prior to taking the helm at Nordic Windpower, he managed the Group’s North American development activities. Mr. Taber studied at Princeton, received the Master of Architecture degree Phi Beta Kappa from U.C. Berkeley, and received an English-Speaking Union Fellowship for study in Great Britain.

Eric Thompson, Nordic Vice President

Mr. Thompson brings 20 years experience in the renewables and energy efficiency fields, including technical, marketing and leadership positions in wind, solar, and energy efficiency with both large and small organizations. He is co-founder and Vice President with Energy Nevada LLC, managing the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. His prior clients included Northern Power Systems, Silicon Energy, Environmental Defense and Greenmountain Energy. Mr. Thompson has a mechanical and aerospace engineering degree from Cornell University with graduate studies in Business Administration.

Gregg Mead, VP/Manufacturing Operations

Mr. Mead has extensive experience in Asian and European markets and with start-up, turnaround, and IPO-track as well as Fortune 500 companies, with a continuing focus on customer service excellence. His experience includes positions as: VP of Manufacturing/Supply Base Management at Condor DC Power, VP of Manufacturing Operations at STM Wireless Inc., and Director of Operations at Peninsula Wireless Communications Inc. and Code-A-Phone, Inc. He received a BS degree in Management Science from California State University in Pomona.

Dr. Jim Walker

Dr. Walker has been active in the wind industry in a range of capacities for over 20 years and brings a wealth of relevant experience to Nordic. Dr. Walker currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of enXco, Inc. and is President-elect of the American Wind Energy Association. As CEO of enXco (from Oct. 2002 to Mar. 2005), Dr. Walker led the development of wind projects in the U.S. totaling 450 MW. He continues to oversee enXco’s asset management of over 400 MW in 19 operating projects with over 2,000 turbines. As a principal of the Princeton Energy Group, he has successfully led many wind projects worldwide. Dr. Walker received his Doctorate in Decision and Control from Harvard Business School and a degree in physics summa cum laude from Princeton University.
